YOU'VE DONE US PROUD, LT COL VASU TELLS OFFICERS
Lt. Col Vasu poses with Correction officers after they were awarded their black belts at the Ready Action Unit yesterday. Thirteen Correction officers graduated yesterday with Black Belt certificates after an intensive six-month course at the Unarmed Combat Academy at the RFMF. Yesterday saw the awarding of certificates to Corrections officers, members of the Fiji Police Force and the Republic of Fiji Military Forces. Deputy Commissioner of Police Isikeli Ligairi told the graduates to use the skills that they had acquired in the appropriate manner. He challenged them to use their new skills and knowledge to improve their work after they demonstrated the 300 plus techniques which they had learnt. Commissioner of Corrections Lieutenant Colonel Ifereimi Vasu congratulated the efforts of the young Correction officers saying they had done the Service proud. “This is a milestone achievement in your career and you must carry with you what you have learnt during the six-month course to improve your work especially with regards to self-defence. “You have done the Service proud and I congratulate you for the effort taken,” Lt.
