Director Corporate Services Peniasi Kunatuba wishes SP 
Panapasa well in her new appointment.

She’s the first female to officially hold the post of a Supervisor of one of the largest divisions – Central/Eastern within the ambit of the Fiji Corrections Service.

Salote Panapasa, who is also the only female within the Service holding the rank of a Superintendent, will now oversee operations at the four Correction Centres in her division – Suva, Womens’, Nasinu and Levuka.

And she knows all too well that the job will be a challenging one.

But with the support from the Almighty and that of her family, and with a committed and willing heart, anything is possible for this Lauan native.

She currently holds the post of Director Rehabilitation.

During a small farewell tea for her last Friday, Mrs Panapasa thanked her staff and colleagues for their support.

Director Corporate Services Peniasi Kunatuba said her appointment was indeed a milestone achievement in a division that is predominantly dominated by males.

“She has a character of steel but behind that firm exterior is a soft heart with a commitment to her family and her team.

“You go with all our support and confidence that you will perform to the best of your ability,” Mr Kunatuba said.

Ms Panapasa thanked her team for their support during her term as Director Rehabilitation.

“I am humbled by my new appointment and I know this would not have been possible without all of your support,” she said.
