RECRUITS PUT ON FINE DISPLAY

Do not allow yourself to be easily manipulated by external pressures, 122 new recruits were told today during their pass out from the RFMF Basic Recruit course. Honorary Colonel Inosi Tawakedrau made the comment after reviewing the parade at the Force Training Group in Nasinu. While congratulating them on successfully completing the 11-week program, Tawakedrau reminded the recruits of the need to uphold good behavior, integrity and discipline at all times. “Some of you will join the Regular Force, some will join the Territorial Force and some of you will meet the increase in demand for prison officers at prison facilities around the country. “No doubt your training here has instilled discipline in you and you must be able to demonstrate this all the time,” Tawakedrau said. He also reminded them that as members of the disciplined forces, they must be ‘just, fair and steadfast. “In these trying times for our country, we as members of the disciplined forces must complement each other in our efforts to maintain law and order. “We must sacrifice for our future,” he added. Corrections officers scooped three of the four awards namely – Joseph Work of Kulukulu, Nadroga for the Best All Around Recruit, Saivou lass Losana Nakabea for Best Female recruit and Ra lad Usaia Vukuqaqa for the Best Light Machine Gunshot. www.corrections.org.fj |
