from PSC Permanent Secretary Parmesh Chand today.

The Public Service Commission today handed over gifts to children of inmates in the true spirit of Christmas.

The handing over was officially done this morning by the PSC Permanent Secretary Parmesh Chand to the Deputy Corrections Commissioner Akuila Namakadre at the Corrections headquarters.

Mr Chand said the gifts were collected by the PSCs’ training division.

“These gifts before you are for the children of inmates who are disadvantaged and our thoughts are with them.

“It will be an opportunity to brighten up their faces this Christmas,” Mr Chand said.

He also acknowledged the participation of the FCS in the Civil Service Excellence Awards.

Mr Namakadre thanked the PSC for the contribution saying the Service was grateful for their support.

“We are always thankful for the support you have given us and particularly for thinking about the children of those under our care,” Mr Namakadre said.

“Thank you for your good heart and kind gesture.”
