NEW RECRUITS READY TO PASS OUT

These young men who underwent a Basic Recruit Course will pass out tomorrow.

Seventeen young men and women will pass out tomorrow as fresh new recruits of the Fiji Corrections Service.

They will be part of a 127-member group that will be graduating tomorrow at the Force Training Group headquarters in Nasinu.

While 17 will join the FCS, 55 are RFMF Regular Force (RF) and the remaining will be employed by Homelink Security Company.

The young recruits underwent a one-week field training where they concentrated on military tactics in the four phases of war including the Advance, Attack, Defence and the Withdrawal stage.

During the 9-week training, the recruits were introduced to military tactics and various weapon training.

The first five weeks included indoctrination of the RFMF ethos, values, customs and traditions combined with regimental responsibilities eg. Foot Drill with and without arms.
