FCS SCOOPS ACHIEVEMENT, CLEAN UP AWARDS

FCS staff show off their Achievement and Clean Up award at the Service Excellence Awards at Novotel.

The Fiji Corrections Service for the second time in a row scooped an Achievement Award in the 2011 Service Excellence Awards at the Novotel Entertainment Centre.

Added to our list of achievement this year is the Clean Up Fiji award for our commitment and involvement in keeping Fiji clean.

The FCS normally engages it staff and inmates in civic pride.

An agency that receives an Achievement Award has demonstrated sound approaches which have been deployed to most major areas.

It also signifies that integration of quality management practices into the organizations’ operations is becoming established.

The underlying theme for the Service Excellence Awards programme is a commitment to quality through continuous improvement.

The levels of recognition awarded to the Government agencies are a reflection of their commitment to putting in place processes and systems for a customer focus and effective service delivery through continuous improvement.

Chief guest Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said the awards are a recognition of the deliberate shift and marked progress in the civil service.

“Hard work, a commitment to change and the dedication public servants have brought to their jobs made this progress possible,” Commodore Bainimarama PM said.
