FCS DONATES TO KINOYA RUGBY SEVENS
Director Rehabilitation SP Salote Panapasa hands over the shield at the Kinoya Sevens. As part of its community awareness on the Yellow Ribbon initiative, the Fiji Corrections Service donated two shields to be awarded to the winners of the Plate and Bowl finals at the Kinoya Rugby Sevens. Organised by the Kinoya Old Boys Association, the tournament which fielded teams from all over Kinoya and surrounding areas, was held over two days. Director Rehabilitation Superintendent Salote Panapasa was on hand to officially award the shields. “This is part of our Yellow Ribbon project outreach in creating awareness within the community in giving ex-offenders a second chance. “There are a lot of ex-offenders here in Kinoya and we need to support them in any way we can so that they get back on track,” SP Panapasa said. The Association thanked the Fiji Corrections Service for its support during the tournament. The shields were done by inmates from the Medium Corrections Centre in Naboro. www.corrections.org.fj |
