Inmates at the Suva Corrections Centre unloading new items bought for them.

Mattresses, towels, bathing soaps, toothpastes and toothbrushes were all part of items delivered for inmates at the Suva Corrections Centre yesterday.

The delivery was made by a delegation from the Jesus Christ Is Lord Ministries (JCLM) led by Pastor Bryan Prasad.

Pastor Bryan said they were merely doing the work of the Lord and in doing so, shared a heart for their brothers and sisters who are currently imprisoned.

“We believe in giving a second chance because God has also given us second chances and even many more when we fail Him.

“While this may not be enough for everyone here, we are planning to deliver items at all Corrections Centres in the country,” he explained.

Officer-in-Charge Pita Rokoiratu said he was grateful for such a kind donation and wished them well.

He assured Pastor Bryan that the items would be distributed at the centre and would not only be put to good use but will be much appreciated by the inmate themselves.
