Corrections chief Lieutenant Colonel Ifereimi Vasu leads Correction officers during a route march this
Members of the Fiji Correction Service this morning took part in a route march led by the Commissioner of Corrections Lieutenant Colonel Ifereimi Vasu.
Route marches normally test combat fitness and endurance, a basic important skill for any member of a disciplined force.
For the FCS, the purpose was not only centred on fitness but it was an opportune time for a team-building exercise.
The route march started from the Suva Correction Centre carpark at around 3.30am and ended at the Naboro Correction complex at 6.30 am.
Officers from the Nasinu, Suva and Women Correction centres took part including those from national headquarters and the Southern division which included staff from Medium, Maximum, Minimum and the Pre-Release Centre.
