Fun morning for officers
05 March, 2011 FCS Senior officers take part in a “Tug of War” competition at the Suva Grammar grounds Senior staff from the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) Headquarters, Central and Eastern Division, and the Southern Division took the road early this morning as the first Commissioner’s required fitness level (RFL) kicked off for this year. The RFL which was organized by the Corrections Academy Staff began with a 2.4 km run from the Fiji School of Maritime in Laucala Bay ended at the Suva Grammar grounds with officers taking part in fun mini games. FCS Staff Officer Training CPO Camdon Bola said that this morning’s activity was also an opportunity for the commissioner to spend time senior officers outside a working environment. “It is a command responsibility for the commissioner to spend time with his officers” Lt Col Vasu reminded his officers that RFL tests are important to disciplined forces such as the FCS. “As leaders, we have to lead by example to those that are under our command” CPO Bola added that the RFL tests will be conducted quarterly. www.corrections.org.fj
