Officers of the Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service on Thursday September 09 thanked their wives who assisted them during the recent Hibiscus Festival with a BBQ dinner at the Supervisor’s Central Eastern Bure in Suva.

More than sixty wives joined FPCS Commissioner Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua’s wife Mrs Kesaia Naivalurua for the thanksgiving dinner.

FPCS Director of Corporate Services Peniasi Kunatuba thanked the wives for their partnership during the festival.

He told the wives that the FPCS were very grateful for the time, effort and sacrifice put in by the wives to make FPCS major community engagement a huge success.

Mr Kunatuba also asked the wives to forgive any harsh words directed to them, especially during the height of activities.

Mrs Naivalurua who spoke on behalf of the wives told the gathering that she was amazed with the solidarity shown by all who took part in the weeklong festival.

She said at the end of the long week, she could see that the wives and officers were united in carrying out their duties.
