Yellow Ribbon to be presented at Cakaudrove Provincial Meeting.
14 October, 2009 ![]() POC Noa Nawaqarua nailing a Yellow Ribbon that has been accepted at Muanaira village, Tailevu. The Yellow Ribbon Project awareness team will be making a presentation at the Cakaudrove Provincial Council meeting at Yaroi Village in Savusavu next Wednesday October 21. The awareness team will be leaving for the North on Monday evening and will spend two days on the Island of Vanua Levu. YRP Coordinator said that they will also make presentations in schools as well. “After the presentation to the provincial council, we will make presentations on YRP awareness at St Bedes College, Buca Bay Secondary School and Monfort Boys Town in Savusavu. The team will return to Suva from Savusavu on Thursday evening October 22. The Yellow Ribbon Project is about creating awareness of giving a second chance to offenders, generating acceptance of ex-offenders and their families back into the communities. The Fiji Prisons and Corrections Services has dedicated October as Yellow Ribbon Month. www.corrections.org.fj
