Retirees join Commissioner for Christmas Eve morning tea
24 December, 2009 The Commissioner of Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua with former Chief Prison Officers (CPO) Saiasi Seru Verevalu and Iosefo Ragusuloto The Commissioner of Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua this morning (December 24), hosted a Christmas Eve morning tea for his National Headquarters staff and two former officers that retired earlier this year. Chief Prison Officers (CPO) Saiasi Seru Verevalu and Iosefo Ragusuloto who both served with FPCS for 35 years said that they were humbled to be invited to morning tea with the Commissioner and his staff. “We have both served for 35 years and this is the first time that we have had the opportunity to have morning tea with the Commissioner,” CPO Ragusuloto said. Delivering his Christmas message to his staff, the Commissioner said that is was an honour to have worked with his staff. “In 2009 we were blessed with achievements and throughout all this God was in our mist. “I want to take this opportunity to thank you for working with me in 2009, it was an honour.” The Commissioner told his staff that during this festive season to please spare a thought to those under their care. “Wherever you are this Christmas, please spare a thought to those under our care, pray for them to change for the better.” www.corrections.org.fj
