“Do I know what my responsibilities as a leader are?

“Do I lead or am I led.

The Commissioner told that officers that there are different standards for those that lead in the Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service and that is why ranks are bestowed on officers.

“I expect leaders not to have excuses, to know a lot, make goals and to have moral courage.

Brigadier General Naivalurua said that the men of a good leader will give up their lives for him.

“You are useless as a leader if your men do not listen to you and follow you.

“Victory is always fun, everybody wants to win, however to be successful you must understand and practice the laws of victory.

“There are;
1. Have different perspectives from others
2. Change your methods
3. Have conviction in what you do
4. Have motivation, this is your vision
5. Use your experience from past encounters
6. Have a good attitude.

“Remember that your attitude will determine your altitude.”
