PRISON LOGISTIC ENHANCEMENT

FPCS staffs at the Logistic workshop, at the SCED Bure, Suva.
Supervisors and selected officers of the Fiji Prisons in the Central and Eastern Division enhanced their knowledge on Logistics concept and procedures, in a brief workshop conducted by the Chief Logistic Officer Prison- ASP Kelepi Tukana.
In an interview with Prisons seconded PRO Ema Mua Dimila, Tukana said the importance of the workshop was to highlight the need to relate logistics into the network and support systems of daily work procedures.

“The common concern here is the need to enhance the knowledge the officers have on logistics. This does not mean they lack the knowledge, it simply means enhancing what they already know and relating or weaving it into operational logistic and finance concepts”

The two day workshop which ends in Suva today will enable Central and Eastern Prison Officers become better managers of their resources and finances.

Mean while ASP Tukana’s Team is expected to tour other Regions for the awareness workshop on Logistics.
