PPO Lutunamaravu's funeral
Pall Bearer's show their last respect to PPO Eroni Lutunamaravu.

On Friday August 20, 2010 the Commissioner of Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua and his officers laid to rest one of their comrades at Naivucini Village in the Naitasiri Hinterland.

Ratu Eroni Lutunamaravu passed away from a short illness on August 10 and is survived by his wife Timaima Vakalala and Adi Viniana, Isoa, Arieta and Timaima.

The Commissioner of Prisons Brigadier General Naivalurua in presenting his reguregu (traditional gifts) thanked the people of Naivucini for the life of their son.

“I thank the people of Navucini Village for the life of one of your sons, who dedicated his life to serving the people and government of Fiji as a correctional officer.

“Thank you for the work in shaping Principal Prison Officer Eroni Lutunamaravu life.”

PPO Lutunamaravu served 34 years and 7 months in the service as a prison warden.

He had a long and distinguished career and will be remembered by his fellow officers as a person who cared for people, a happy man and a hard worker.
