FIRST TIME WARDENS PADDLE TO FIFTH
Fiji Prisons & Corrections Rowing Team. Renowned for their prowess in the rugby field, the Fiji Prisons and Corrections Service’s Wardens Rugby team for the first time took to the waters in the ‘Bring It on Business Regatta in Suva. Rowing against 30 other business house team, the wardens did well in the overall competition by coming in fifth. The wardens who fielded two teams, proved worthy opponents as both teams made it into the main competition semi-finals with its team one making it into the finals. Last year's champion ATS from Nadi were again crowed champions. Races included mixed divisions (men & women) battling it out on a 250m course. Announcing the launch, Fiji Outrigger Sports Development Officer Michael Crowe said, "The Bring It On! Waitui Business House Regattas offer a great opportunity for businesses to get their staff out of the office and into a competitive team environment." Fiji Outrigger has been running these annual events since 2004 as a way to promote healthy living, staying fit and team building.
