Prison officers and their families took time out for a family fun day at the Suva Grammar School ground in Suva.

Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Auta Moceisuva said the event would help in the empowerment of the institution.

 “This enable the members with the support of their families to continue the services that will provide secure places for the people to live,”said Mr Moceisuva.

Epeli Tiko said event was a memorable one as they enjoyed the day.“The events allow people to forget about their differences causing no barriers of discrimination,”he said

Elizabeth Ravu who came from Lautoka said it was a harmonious occasion as it bought the families together.
