PRISON OFFICERS COMPLETE LOGISTICS WORKSHOP
![]() Participants of the Intergrated Logistcis and Interoperability workshop at Police Academy in Nasova. Four Fiji Prisons and Correctional Services Officers today, Friday July 24 completed a three day forum on Integrated Logistics and Interoperability that was coordinated by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF). The forum that was held at the Fiji Police Force Academy in Nasova, was an initiative mooted by the RFMF for the logistics teams in the uniformed services and other emergency service deliverers to form a united front during natural disasters. Closing the forum, the RFMF Land Force Commander Colonel Pita Driti called upon the participants to take back want they had learnt and utilise it the best of their abilities as logisticians. Colonel Driti said one of the benefits of the forum was the network that was formed over the last three days and he hoped that this creates interoperability between the agencies. “There must be a whole of government approach in terms of rebuilding Fiji after a natural disaster. As logisticians this requires interoperability, standardisation of policies, centralisation and the economisation of the use of available resources. Colonel Driti also told the participants that as logisticians it is all about managing your resources, acquisition and storage and while doing always keep the end user in mind. The four prison officers that attended the forum were Superintendent HQ Akuila Namakadre, A/CPO L Nawai, O/C Transport A/PPO Davies and POA J Biu. www.corrections.org.fj |
