NEW RECRUITS PASS OUT

Twenty two new prison officers passed out on Friday, July 17 at the Fiji Prisons and Correctional Academy in a passing out parade reviewed by the Commissioner of Prisons and Correctional Services Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua

The new officers made up of eighteen males and four females, completed the two weeks basic recruitment course will be absorbed into the service to fill the positions left vacant by officers that have retired, recently.

More than 500 families, friends and service members were on hand to witness the passing out parade.

Commissioner of Prisons and Correctional Services Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua advised the new recruits of their new responsibilities to the community as professional correctional officers.
