“Be captains of lives and be professional correctional officers.”

This was the message from the Fiji Prisons and Correctional Services Commissioner Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua to 19 Prison Officers Class B and Class at the opening of a 2 week Mid-Level Leadership Training Course at the Corrections Academy in Naboro.

The Commissioner also told the participants that leadership is the key to success at any level.

The course which began on Monday August 3 will be facilitated by the staff of the Correctional Academy.

Guest and motivational speakers during the leadership course will include captains of industries like the Managing Director of Vodafone Fiji Mr Aslam Khan and service delivery providers from government agencies and departments.

An interesting feature of the course will be the daily bible study sessions.
