FIJI MUSLIM LEAGUE ENGAGES WITH PRISONS
In its effort to engage with the Fiji Prisons and Correctional Services in maintaining the Nasinu Cemetery the Fiji Muslim League has indicated their willingness to donate implements.

Mr Muhammed Shamim Ali speaking for the General Secretary of the Fiji Muslim League Mohammed Taabish Akbar informed the Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Auta Moceisuva of the leagues intention to donate; three digging spade, six normal spade, five digging forks and 10 cane knives.

The intended donation Mr Ali said is in response to earlier discussion between the league and Fiji Prisons and Corrections regarding assistance for the upkeep of the Nasinu Cemetery.

“We understand that these tools are for the upkeep of the entire cemetery and not exclusive to the Muslim section.

Mr Ali also thanked the Fiji Prisons and Correctional Services for managing the cemeteries around Fiji.

Fiji Prisons and Media Liaison Officer Principal Prison Officer said the intended donation by the league shows the commitment by the league to engage with the Fiji Prisons and Correctional Services in our efforts to rehabilitate our inmates to be contributing members to society.
