In addressing participants of the Cooks Course, their families and guests at the Korovou SCED Bure on Sunday the 31st of May, the Commissioner of Prisons and Corrections Service, Brigadier General Naivalurua paid tribute to the support and cooperation of the Tanoa Group of Hotels, its staff and in particular its owner, Mr Y.P.Reddy.

“He has always been a strong supporter of the Yellow Ribbon Programme and the Department in total. From its inception, he has been a tower of strength to the programme and the Department generously offering both moral and direct support.

It is heartening that a figure of such renowned repute could be so humble to provide care and support for those considered underprivileged and downtrodden by society.”

The Commissioner also commended the overwhelming support of the RFMF for the course, through the ready release of Major Kete to conduct and coordinate the course.

This kind gesture was testimony to the heart and care of the military for the cause to give offenders a second chance.
