Children of officers of the Fiji Prisons and Correctional Service’s Natabua Prison in Lautoka were fortunate to embark on an educational tour of Denarau Island during the Queen’s Birthday long weekend (June 15, 2009).

The tour that was organised by the Supervisor Western Division ASP Viliame Bulewa allowed the children to visit and familiarise themselves of the various activities offered the world renown resorts.

“We organised the tour for our children so that they can be familiarised with activities of the tourism industry and to keep them occupied during the long weekend,” ASP Bulewa said.

This is all part Commissioner of Fiji Prisons and Correctional Services Brigadier Ioane Naivalurua’s intent to ensure that capacity building is not only reserved for officers but for their families as well.
