CADETS TO PREPARE FOR LEADERSHIP
Cadets of All Saints Secondary School, who passed out today, July 24, were asked by the Fiji Prisons and Correctional Services Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua to start preparing themselves for leadership.

The Commissioner told the cadets that often they may hear the old adage that “Youth are the future leaders of the World”.

He asked them what does it mean to them when they hear that Fiji will be calling upon young people to take up leadership roles at the family, community and national levels and what defines a leader.

“Who is a leader? By definition, a leader is a person who leads a group of people, especially the head of a country.”

The answer the Commissioner said is within them, they must identify this.

“As youths you must step up and start thinking about how you as young people can contribute to a peaceful and prosperous Fiji.

You as youths must take control of your destiny and make it want you want it to be.

“Seize the Day,” the Commissioner said.
