A WHOLE NATION APPROACH
Four Fiji Prisons and Correctional Service Officers today (July 22) heard that if a national disaster strikes it is imperative that the whole of the nation becomes involved.

According to Director DISMAC Mr Cawaki the idea is when a disaster strikes, the whole of the nation is involved.

“We need the involvement of all the citizens and that includes the private sector as well so that we can utilize their resources.”

The four prison Officers Superintendent HQ Akuila Namakadre, A/CPO L Nawai, O/C Transport A/PPO Davies and POA J Biu are attending a three day forum on integrated logistics and interoperability at the Fiji Police Academy in Suva

The prison officers are part of a group of participants made up from members of the Disciplinary Forces, DISMAC, PWD, Fire Authority of Fiji, other relevant government agencies and stakeholders.

The forum is being coordinated by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and is sponsored by Defense Logistics.
