TEAM BONDING FOR PRISON STAFF
STAFF of the Prison department created history for the institution when they joined recruits in their final week of basic training exercise on Friday 19 December, 2008.They joined 23recruits on an early morning 17 kilometre march from the entrance of Navua town to Naboro Prison Complex. The staff included former national sevens coach Josateki Savou, Prison Commissioner Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua, his deputy Auta Moceisuva and other senior staff. Mr Naivalurua said the purpose of the exercise was to allow staff from Naboro and headquarters to develop team work and improve their stamina and endurance.He said it was aclimax to the end of the year for "old staff". Mr Naivalurua said the recruits underwent a stringent 11-week training course and will pass out at Naboro next Tuesday. Mr Savou said the staff was thankful to the commissioner for bringing about the team bonding initiative. |
