Prisons chaplain Rev Lekima Gonerau is away in Australia attending a six-week course at the Allan Walker College in Australia. 

Staff and volunteers at the chaplaincy office at the Suva Prison fare welled Rev Gonerau with a morning tea. 

Rev Gonerau who is an appointment of the Methodist Church of Fiji is attending a course on Peace Building, Reconciliation and Counselling. 

As the majority of the prison population are Methodists, it has traditionally held the position of prison chaplain.Rev Gonerau returns to Fiji before Christmas.
