Background Information
Minimum Security Prison was established in 1965 mainly to cater for short-term first and second offender prisoners which have been allocated by the Central Classification and Allocation Board from Suva Prison. It is situated at the Naboro Prison Complex along the Queens Highway in the province of Rewa. Medium Security Prison is a Classified Prison and accommodates criminal convicted prisoners.
Prisoner’s employment includes upkeep of prison institution and compound, root crops/ vegetable farming, Piggery Farming, Poultry Farming and Cattle Farming.
Rehabilitation programs are mainly focused on Counseling Programs, Religious Programs, Agriculture Courses, Bee Keeping and Start Your Own Business.
