It is situated at Natabua in the City of Lautoka in the province of Ba. Lautoka Prison is an unclassified Prison and accommodates both convicted and unconvicted prisoners. Prisoner’s employment includes root crops and vegetable farming, cemetery maintenance, upkeep of prison compound, and other government stations. Rehabilitation programs are mainly focused on Small Business, Bee Keeping, Hotel and Catering Courses and Agriculture Courses. There is also a Prisoners Counseling Facilities at Lautoka Prison funded by the Government of Australia through the Australia/Fiji Law & Justice Sector Program |
