FCS Joinery is the commercial production of artifacts for meeting the needs of the general public and achieving its management, operational and financial objectives.
Its’ main products are coconuts scrappers, tea trays, flower vase’, walking sticks, rocking chairs and palm stools.
Located at the Medium Corrections Centre, the department first embarked on Joinery in an effort to rehabilitate inmates.
It has a good range of machines capable of manufacturing a wide variety of products.
Plans for 2013 include improving business practices, purchasing of new machines, exceed 2012 sales by 20 % and extend workshop to include furnishing area.
